9000INC: Night Shift is a grimy retro security game about being under-equipped, understaffed, and assigned to properties where absolutely nothing stays normal. Patrol multiple locations, handle incidents, fight bizarre threats, customize officers and equipment, survive escalating modes, and eventually bring up to four guards into multiplayer shifts.
Trespassers, anomalies, creatures, hostile incidents, bosses, and increasingly broken nights.
Separate downloads are available for Windows and Linux computers. Use the system labels below to choose yours.

Platform choice
Windows and Linux stay separate
Each successful desktop compile replaces only that platform's current download. A Windows build never overwrites Linux, and a Linux build never overwrites Windows.
Crossplay
Same game, same dedicated server
Web, Android, Windows, and Linux builds can share multiplayer lobbies when they target the same environment and use a compatible Night Shift multiplayer protocol.

How to play 9000INC: Night Shift
Getting started
Use the gameβs opening training to learn movement, combat, pickups, and upgrades. Follow the current objective instead of expecting every mode to have the same finish condition.
In patrol combat, your equipped weapons automatically engage threats in range. Keep moving, walk over drops to collect them, and choose an upgrade when your documentation level rises.
For a group shift, open Clock In, then Multiplayer. Create or join a room, choose your loadout, and ready up. Friends should use compatible releases from the same website so they can find the same rooms.
Controls
- Move
WASD or the arrow keys on desktop; drag the movement pad on touch devices.
- Menus and upgrades
Click or tap the displayed choices. Read the in-game prompt for mode-specific interactions.
- Patrol combat
Equipped weapons attack threats in range automatically; movement and positioning keep you out of danger.
- Pause or back
Esc opens the pause menu during play or backs out of a menu.
Rules and modes
Health and objective
The top bar shows health and experience. The wave or objective bar tells you what the current area requires.
Reports and upgrades
Collect report drops for documentation experience. Level-ups offer a choice of three upgrades for the current shift.
Different assignments
Combat patrols, UNARMED shifts, and Story Mode have different goals. Follow their on-screen instructions and check the selected loadout before starting.
A useful first goal
Learn a short solo shift before joining a group. Keep a path out of crowded areas and collect useful drops when it is safe. Choose upgrades that support the equipment you brought into the shift.
If you get stuck
If a multiplayer room cannot be found, check the room code and whether everyone has a compatible release. If startup stops, include the displayed message, platform, and download version in a support request. Only enabled Play and Download buttons indicate a currently available release.
